9. CUSTOMER SERVICE: How To Book With AirStMaarten
Dear friends and clients,
If you are like me, you are interested in long term growth in any area of your personal and business life and I am happy to tell you that AirStMaarten has managed to grow over the years, both organically in terms of the number of clients that has consistently booked with us, and also by the winds of change beneath its wings fueled by a love for this business that have inspired me and my staff - Karen in particularly - to rise to the highest heights possible where customer service is concerned, given the limited resources a virtual airline has at its disposal.... and yes I am talking about money.
That is why each year we offer you, our valued clients, great savings when you pre-pay bookings 6 to 12 months ahead of your planned trip to St. Barths. This year again, you can save 10% by paying now for your bookings with travel dates between November 15th, 2013, and April 15th, 2014.
Think about it. If you decide to do so, please submit a reservation request online at www.airsxm.com and email us to get your 10% discount.
In the meantime, just like how Facebook loves it when you post news, updates, film, videos and pictures, so I will be very social here on my own media and post a picture for a very good cause...
Since 1996 SBHonline.com Forum Friends Rosemond and Ellen Greaux have organized the annual St. Barth Film Festival, a major cultural event on the island we all love: St. Barths.
Dedicated to Caribbean Cinema, the film festival shows up to a dozen films in each year (in late April) at the outdoor cinema at AJOE in Lorient, at the port or museum in Gustavia, and on the beach in Flamands. All of the films are in French or have French sub-titles so that they are accessible to the island audience.
The video screenings are free to the public in order to attract the largest audience possible and best promote Caribbean cinema. The festival also produces a film-in-the-schools program, taking the filmmkaers to the island schools to explain their profession and show their work to the students....
All of the people involved in the organization of the St. Barth Film Festival are volunteers, and come from as far away as New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Guadelope, to make the festival possible.
The St. Barth Film Festival will be held from April 25th to April 30th, 2013. So fly down and have a look and enjoy your stay while in St. Barths.
Happy Viewings! And Happy Sailings for the St. Barth Regatta lovers!

The winner of the first St. Maarten's Toppix Aviation Photo Contest out of a total of 75 entries submitted, at final count, by 26 participants, is photographer Bernie Verhoeven. Her photo depicts the underbelly of an Air France jet zooming in with the clouds almost as a shroud around it and people on the beach snapping away as if in a choreographed action to catch the big bird as it descends on the runway at Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM). When traveling in a group, it is a good practice to divide each of your belongings across all luggage bags. This provides insurance against lost luggage. If someone's luggage is lost, they will at least have some of their belongings. To further protect against lost luggage, it is recommended that each person bring a change of clothes with them in their carry-on bag.
Every remarkable song is marked with a rising crescendo that resonates with the heart. And so it is with this season’s epic series of Caribbean regattas, that its climax is soon to be relished at the Les Voiles de St. Barth. Scheduled for April 8-13, the event packs into five days (one for preparation, four for racing, and one – a “layday” – for enjoying some serious French hospitality St. Barth’s-style) all that has become traditional in Caribbean regattas and much more that has not.
