INTRO: A Night Out In St. Maarten
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear friends and clients,

Ever considered overnighting in St. Maarten?

My friend and fellow St. Barths lover, Jeff McGrew, decided on a last minute trip to visit St. Barths recently and because of business meetings in St. Maarten decided to overnight. Well, that worked out perfectly for the both of us. Because I got the opportunity to take Jeff out for the dinner and he got the opportunity to show me what a great guy he is by paying. Thanks, Jeff!!! :-)

Jeff McGrew & Terrance Rey

After picking Jeff up at Mary's Boon Beach Resort and posing for a quick photo opp (see above), we had dinner at Soprano's (see photo below). Dinner was a large green salad and a large pepperoni pizza washed down with a couple of Heineken Light Beers. We had a great time and caught up on the latest St. Barths news, gossip and developments.

After dinner, I drove Jeff around in Simpson Bay and showed him some of the hotspots and the vibrant nightlife Dutch St. Maarten's second town, Simpson Bay, is famous for. So if you ever decide to overnight in St. Maarten and want a night out in the Simpson Bay town, email me!!! :-)

Happy Readings!

5. NEWS ITEM: WINAIR Announces New Routes
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winair newsAirport -- Regional airline WINAIR has announced that starting June 14th, three new routes will be added to its network: Tortola, Dominica and St. Lucia.

This disclosure was made by the company's Managing Director, Edwin Hodge, who said that after extensive and significant talks the airline was able to secure the new routes noting that it will help to boost the company's operations.

The new destinations are St Lucia, Dominica and Tortola. The company's CEO said: "I have to admit that we are very excited to launch these new routes as it helps us in being able to provide a better and enhanced service to the people of the region."

According to Edwin Hodge, WINAIR's Managing Director, it is very important to note that the new flights will complement the airline's existing service. "We have a number of destinations that provide our customers more travel options when using WINAIR."  Hodge also pointed out that the continued growth and development of the airline will be based on their experience. He added that this new investment perfectly reflects that commitment.

While details of the new deal has not been made public, confirmed sources indicate that the details are beneficial to all concerned, stressing that with increased competition the company will have to continue keeping its house in order.

The three new destinations are situated in both the Leeward and Windward Islands of the Caribbean while several pundits have noted that the new routes will attract business from visiting family and relatives, the business community, diplomatic services and the tourism industry.

Vice President of Marketing, Claudio Buncamper, said that the relevant stakeholders are happy. "I must say that our primary aim is to not only offer to these passengers excellent connections and service but we also want to ensure that they are safe and secured," he said. Buncamper pointed out that WINAIR continues to set standards in travel, stressing that he firmly believes that there is untapped potential. "I am of the firm view that with the addition of these three routes it promises to serve the unmet needs of discerning corporate and leisure flyers," the VP of Marketing said.

Buncamper declared that WINAIR's goal is to emerge as the market leader within the Caribbean noting that they are on course. He added that they expect to consolidate their leadership position further by being the preferred airline in the region. Winair is presently loading its flight schedule for the new destinations which will connect to all of Winair Destinations.

It was noted that WINAIR will continue on its mission to launch other flights to more regional destinations over the coming months. According to reliable sources, Barbados is in the planning as the next destination to added to the Winair routes network.
